Fraunhofer presents roadmap “Circular bioeconomy for Germany” in Brussels
Fraunhofer researchers are highlighting the scientific and technological potential of the bioeconomy in their roadmap “Circular bioeconomy for Germany”. Included are recommended actions to be taken at a political level. The roadmap was presented in Brussels on September 20, 2023. The Fraunhofer WKI contributed to the roadmap.
An interdisciplinary team of Fraunhofer researchers analyzed the state of the art, opportunities and challenges in various fields of application of the bioeconomy and derived recommendations for policy action. The resulting roadmap was presented and put up for discussion at the expert workshop “Sustainable and Competitive: the Bioeconomic Future of the EU”.
